The Dover Stone Church is an ancient rock formation located in Dover Plains, a hamlet in Dutchess County. The stone church got it’s name because it resembles the shape of stain glass windows in churches.
The trail to the cave follows along side the Church Brook.
At this point the walk gets a little tougher. The width of the trail gets very narrow, on one side is a rock wall and the other side is the brook. I have not found any information on the development of the trail but it looks as many of the rocks have been placed there.
If it is not icey the walk is easy enough.
